As a parent we want nothing more than to help our children succeed in school and in life. Having a dyslexic son brings new challenges to this quest. However, discovering the Davis Dyslexia program was just the answer we were looking for to assist our son. Once we realized that this program could potentially change his life, the task of finding the right facilitator was top priority.
After extensive research and interviews we determined Donna Northcutt was the perfect fit for our son. Donna's passion for the program and genuine belief in what she teaches was apparent from the start and only grew stronger once she started working with our son. Donna, brings one more valuable piece to the table that we felt was extremely important for us - she too is Dyslexic.
My discovery of the Davis Dyslexia program was quite by chance. I wanted to find a way to help our son learn more efficiently. I was sure there was some program out there that could help. On a family trip I stumbled upon the book The Gift of Dyslexia in an airport bookstore and started reading it on the plane ride home. I was so impressed that I told my husband about it and we started to research how to present the program to our son before the school year started. Our son was almost 10 years old at the time and about to start the 4th grade, the perfect time to go through this program. I thought I might be able to present the program to him myself but with research decided that it would be best to find a certified Davis facilitator.
Learning is an ongoing process throughout life and now he has the tools to make learning easier and more fun. Now about midway through the school year our son's grades and confidence continue to soar. For the first time ever, he now raises his hand and volunteers to read aloud in class. Thank you Donna for, what you have done and for what you continue to do to support us and our son. Your ability to relate directly with him along your dedication and commitment to us all has truly made a difference.

We are profoundly grateful for the Davis
Dyslexia program offered by Donna Northcutt. We enrolled our son in other
programs and, although they were helpful, the approach taken by Donna was
significantly different. The focusing exercises and the use of clay in a
creative educational environment opened up several doors of learning. Within
one short week, our son was reading better. More importantly, he is retaining
what he is learning. Donna is passionate about the program and it has a positive
impact on those she teaches.
